Kylie is a passionate performance physio with extensive experience working with performers and athletes of all levels. She has a Masters of Physiotherapy (University of Canberra) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Dance that she completed at WAAPA (Edith Cowan University, WA). She had a successful career as a contemporary dancer prior to becoming a physio.
Kylie has a passion for performance and sports, in particular dance, ballet, cycling, trail running and acrobatics. She has special interests in dance rehabilitation, pre-pointe preparation and assessment, foot and ankle injuries, injury prevention, functional strengthening, clinical Pilates and post-partum recovery. She also has an interest in auto immune conditions.
Kylie worked with a local AFL first grade club for 6 years, and has a history of participating in running, endurance cycling events and mountain biking races. She now runs and dances for fun.
Kylie has completed her Pilates Mat work training with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute and uses her skills to guide patients through individual programs and classes. She has completed a number of specialist courses including: The Pregnant Pelvis, Dancers’ Hip, Manual Therapy, Science of Cycling Injury Prevention and PhysioBikeFit, and Sports level 1 & 2. She is a member of the Australian Society of Perfoming Arts Healthcare (ASPAH).
Kylie has recently added a little girl to her family, and her twin girls are already proving to be wonderful big sisters. She will be back in the clinic treating part-time in the coming months.
